There is some good news from Apple.
The 8GB iPhone will now be available at $399 which is $200 less than it was previously available. 4GB variant has been discontinued.

MacWorld is reporting that Apple is planning to announce many hardware products this month. There have already been talks about the upcoming black version of Apple iMac. Many of the new products should start shipping in good quantities in a few weeks in the market.
The list is likely to be all models of Mac mini, the entry-level combo drive iMac, the mid-range MacBook Pro, entry-level and black MacBooks, all models of iPod nano, and the iPod HiFi.
While the backlog in supply of some of these products may simply be connected to growing demand for the company’s kit, it’s being suggested that the existing inventory levels suggest significant upgrades in some of the products mentioned – and by the end of the month. Continue Reading »

The iTunes program is key to synching music on computers with iPod portable players, and the latest version, iTunes 7.1, comes a month after the iPod and Macintosh computer maker warned PC users against installing Windows Vista until Apple could fix the problems.
Apple removed that outright warning from its Web site on Monday and stated instead that the updated iTunes is recommended for use with most editions of Windows Vista. But Apple also conceded that some glitches, including possible corruption of a user’s iPod player upon ejection from a PC, remain.

A US-based technology business research firm has predicted that Apple will surpass its projected 10 million iPhones sold for 2008. However, many of the expected 12 million iPhones to be sold will cut into already slowing iPod sales and the price will be reduced from the premium level that Apple has placed on its yet to be released handset.
TBR says in its fourth quarter report on Apple that Apple has openly said to achieve the goal of selling 10 million iPhones by 2008 and that seems within reach. TBR further expects the sale of 12 million iPhone sin 2008 considering the fact that MOTO RAZR has done wonders in the last three years. So, it implies that a fampus cellphone model has the potential to make a wide impact.

Macworld.com - The Beatles’ noticeable absence from Apple’s iTunes Store could soon be a thing of the past if a report in Fortune proves to be correct. The Time Warner-owned business magazine is reporting that Apple is close to a deal for putting the British rock group’s music catalog online. What’s more, Fortune reports, Apple could be on the verge of becoming the exclusive online source for Beatles downloads for a limited time.
