How to Activate Aircel Pocket Internet Card:
- Send the 16-digit Pin number to *124*Pin-number#
- Aircel Pocket Internet is activated in 60 mins
- SMS PI to 121 (toll free) to get the Internet(GPRS) settings for your mobile
My Review of Aircel Pocket Internet Card & Aircel:
- I find the Aircel Network to be a bit poor as compared to established mobile networks in Mumbai.
- Aircel gives issues while calling back a number or replying to a sms, it doesn’t allow you to use a mobile number with +91 extension.
- Aircel has amazing voice clarity.
- Aircel Pocket Internet card offers good surfing speeds compared to other mobile operators.
- Unlimited Internet for a reasonable price is the best thing about Aircel Pocket Internet.
- It can be used on your laptop/pc too.
- I use my Aircel Pocket Internet on my iPhone, its gives me great surfing speeds.
- I had taken a 1-Day trial pack from a promotion store of Aircel and it surely rocked for me.
- Best thing about Aircel Pocket Internet is refill system wherein services are available for 3 days or 30 days and after the validity is over, the service is automatically deactivated. - No more regular billing if you forget to deactivate a service.

Iam using Aircel Prepaid + Iphone 2g With OS 3.0. I want to use Aircel Pocket internet on my iphone 2g.
In my iphone.. there are no edge settings.. but there is Cellular Data Network where i can edit APN. I have kept the APN as “aircelgprs”. I restarted the mobile. reinserted the sim too.. But still im not able to get the internet.
Someone tell me what to do..

If that doesn’t work check and let me know if ‘E’ appears next to the network signal bar on your iphone mobile.

i used pocket internet browsing is good i like it. but i have one doubt . how can i voice chat calling in yahoo messenger in my phone. if it is possible to voice chat tell me plz.
@saravana: Voice Chatting cannot be possible with any GSM or CDMA operator via a mobile in India because Voice calling require good bandwidth and requires high speed connection. :-)

but that “E” is not comming beside the carrier name..

‘E’ denotes Edge facility in your area. This means that your area doesn’t have the GPRS/EDGE network. Try inserting a Aircel/Vaodafone sim, you’ll see that a ‘E’ symbol does appear.
One of my friends faced a similar issue but when he was travelling found the ‘E’ signal and was able to surf. :-)
Call up the Customer Care and inquire.
yesterday i removed the aircel card nd put up the vodafone card……
then again i put up that aircel card…on ma iphone
just 2 mins before relpacing the sim i was able to surf….

@ Pujan: That’s because you may have got the ‘E’ signal.
Remember once you insert other sim, you need to again set apn settings for Aircel Card. :-)
hey m using aircel edge internet on my unlock iphone 3G OS:2.2
but m not able to call from my mobile. when i enter in option phone>keypad i am not able to press any key and after 2 to 3 secs it automatically returns to springboard. i can send msgs but i cant call from my mobile. plz help me.

Using Aircel in the Kolkata circle.
Using Iphone 3G (US locked, but using a Turbo SIM).
I tried sending “PI”, “WAP”, and “GPRS” several times to 121 but kept getting the same message back - “OTA not supported”. So, I called their customer service line 98040 12345 and got the following manual settings for my Iphone.
Click Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network (or EDGE in some phones). Then enter the following Access Point Network (APN) into the APN Box: “aircelweb” (without quotations).
Leave the user name and password box blank.
This is all you have to do. It worked for me! I was able to retrieve my mails through the “PUSH” function, use Google maps, and update Facebook App.
They told me that I will be charged on a pay-per-use basis @ 10 paise/KB. So, I clicked on Yahoo.com and ended up paying Rs 1. My email download cost was over Rs. 5.
I am going to try the Pocket Internet cards to get the Unlimited Internet service for Rs 98/month.

bcoz the edge option has been vanished from my phone,
in the network setting i only hav wifi, data roaming and vpn,

Just dailing the number above will connect you to the internet in no time.
Speeds are good, as compared to the TATA-INDICOM and other cellular companies.
The only problem, i’m facing is that it keeps disconnecting in every 5mins or so, which is quite depressing and frustrating.
Hope aircel will patch this problem.

Some Providers Like Airtel / Aircel dont Need any APN settings to browse internet in your Apple Unlocked & Jailbroken Iphone
Requriments:
1. Wireless Router
2. Iphone with 3.0 Firmware
If u dont have A Wireless Router Dont Worry Alter Method is there but it take a lot of time & a lot to explain. i will let u know in my next posting.
Configure your Wireless Option in you Iphone & check that u r able to browse internet using that or not.
go to Safari and type ” help.benm.at” GO
once the Page got opened Scroll down & go to ” MobileConfigs Create>”
Then Scrol Down & go to Mobile Internet and enter your Service Provider link ex:” http://live.vodafone.in” for VODAFONE
provide username & password if needed
once u r Done Click on Generate
Once u r Dont A file will be creater & Open a Menu “Install Profile” in that u will find Install just Click on it
There u Go Most of the Handset need to switch of & Switch on the Handset then start Using Net.

Many of the times my Iphone 3G 16GB shows “No Service” in the specific network area, but if the same sim card is used with other mobile handset in the same network area its shows full network, is it a problem with network service provider for iphone in india with Aircel.
i update my iphone 3g with firmware 3.1 and the jailbreak(pwnage ) it´s ok..!and unlock with “ultrasn0w”,

After AIRTEL has stopped its NOP@99/pm, I tried AIRCEL’s Pocket Internet @ 98/pm
Speed is worth for what u pay.
Its Unlimited with POP3, PC Connectivity tooo. You can access ur gmail or anyother pop3 based emails directly to ur mobile’s inbox.
AIRTEL SUCKS & AIRCEL ROCKS.

If you want to surf internet on your pc, make sure your packet data access point is aircelgprs. I have nokia 5130. I use to write an access point in settings>connectivity>packet data>access point>packet data access point. Now you can use your phone as a dial up modem. All you need is a data cable and drivers. Nokia pc suite installs my phones modem drivers itself. Or you can use bluetooth pan network too.

I set the APN as “aircelgprs” without quotations.
Then I restarted and the edge facility sign appeared.
But still I’m not able to surf and it shows “you are not subscribed to packet data internet”

aircel pocket internet is well.it sspeed is good.in the morning downloading
speed 16-20 kbps.& in the evening 2 or 3 kbps.

Settings->Connection->Access Points
Create a new access point as below
Name: AIRCELGPRS
Bearer: GPRS
APN: aircelwap
Userid:
Password:
Primary Server:
Secondary Server:
Now Goto
Settings->Applicatioin Settings->Browser->Accounts->Options->New Profile
Create a new profile as below:-
Name: Aircel
Homepage: http://myaircel.com
Proxy: On
Ip Address:- 172.017.083.069
Port Number: 8080
Access Point: AIRCELGPRS
With the above settings one should be able to connect to the internet with the browser button.

I installed nimbuzz on my W350i mobile according to the instruction from my friend from gulf. He using Nimbuzz for voice chat through GPRS to the friends in gtalk and yahoo messenger.
