Sony Ericsson SO902WP+

Sony Ericsson has announced the new SO902WP+, a phone that is able to survive for up to half an hour in a metre-deep of water. It has been made available now through the DoCoMo people in Japan.

Samsung’s fuel cell-powered mobile phone

Samsung's fuel cell-powered mobile phone Samsung Electronics of Korea has inked an exclusive deal with MTI MicroFuel Cells of Albany, New York to work on implementing fuel cell batteries into future mobile phones. This deal is said to be worth in the neighbourhood of $1 million dollars, and is the first major contract of its kind to move the cellular phone industry toward fuel cell technology.

Nokia introduced a new software upgrade for the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. The upgraded features of the introduced OS 2006 edition include support for rich Internet communications, including pre-installed Google Talk(TM) - all on a portable broadband mobile device. Google Talk(TM) is Google’s free instant messaging service that enables people to chat and make calls through the Internet.
