Network Definitions!
LAN (Local Area Network) - A computer network that covers only a small area usually within one building.
MAN - A high speed network designed to link together sites in a metropolitan or campus area. A network spanning a geographical area greater than a LAN but less than a WAN (Wide Area Network). This type of network typically spans an area from a few city blocks to a greater metropolitan region.
WAN (Wide Area Network) - A network or group of networks that span a large geographical area.
